Overview Land's End to Bath

Some of this section was influenced by the availability of accommodation on the day, particularly day 2.

We took a central Cornwall, Devon and Somerset route, roughly following McCloy's; The Land's End to John O'Groats Walk book. Recommended reading for any LEJOG walker. This took us through: Penzance, Crowntown, Porkellis, Truro, Indian Queens, St Breward, over Brown Willy, Launceston, Okehampton, Crediton, Tiverton, Taunton, Burrowbridge, Glastonbury,  Midsomer Norton and Camerton to Bath over 18 days (including rest days). See see overview map below. This is the most complex section to plan and navigate. To see a detailed route log of our walk from Land's End to Bath, click here. Be warned, the detailed LE to Bath page is a detailed turn by turn description. Unless you are really keen to map out our route, it will probably be quite tedious reading. For most readers; better to go to the Bath to Edale walk page.

Some of the photos in the following montage are a little 'misty', if you think that this gives a delightful artistic impression, we are happy to accept compliments. The reality is that there was a fingerprint on the camera lens. At Cam Gloucester, our camera (no pun intended, honestly) met its doom when it got sat on! When we got to Gloucester we got a new camera, the salesman at the photography shop pointed out the fingerprint. He threw in a free micro fibre cloth that fit neatly into a tiny pouch that we tied to the camera case. Future pictures were taken with a freshly cleaned lens!
